12 SECLUDED WESTERN CAPE GETAWAYS WITH WINTER SPECIALS

12 SECLUDED WESTERN CAPE GETAWAYS WITH WINTER SPECIALS

It’s a sad reality that the Covid-19 pandemic has shaken our local tourism and hospitality industry. This sector has been hit the hardest and we are all still trying to rebuild what took dedicated men and women many years to build but only a year to collapse.

Many businesses in the tourism and hospitality sector have closed their doors and will never open again, and their employees have also been left without jobs. According to the World Travel and Tourism Council, the industry directly and indirectly accounts for over 10% of all jobs globally and generates 10.4% of global GDP. In 2020, the industry’s contribution to global GDP was halved, and 18.5% of people working in the sector lost their jobs.

This winter season is going to be the hardest for all the businesses that are still operating or trying to survive, and they are going to need all the support they can get. With the uncertainty of the current Covid-19 pandemic, secluded getaway locations and accommodations are on the rise because people are searching for places that are less crowded in order to maintain social distancing and enjoy the outdoor lifestyle.

I have compiled a list of 12 secluded accommodations around the Western Cape that currently have amazing winter specials and packages to encourage you to continue exploring our beautiful country during the winter season while helping to rebuild our local tourism and hospitality industry.

Let me know which one made you want to pack your bags.
