Justinah and I finally visited Zambia, one of the SADC (Southern African Development Community) countries we have been eyeing for a while and the stylish Radisson Blu Mosi-oa-Tunya Livingstone Resort was one of the three accommodations we stayed at in Livingstone. I can confidently say this resort holds a special place in our hearts and we left pieces of ourselves there. One day we will return to reconnect with them. 1. MOSI-OA-TUNYA NATIONAL PARK (4.5 km from the resort)

Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the only places in the world to catch a glimpse of the protected white rhino. It’s also home to many other animals, including hippos, elephants, giraffes, and various native bird species.

2. ZAMBEZI RIVER

This river is one of the largest in Africa and feeds into Victoria Falls, one of the world’s most famous waterfalls. It flows through Angola, Zambia, and Mozambique and supports a variety of land, water, and bird species.

3. VICTORIA FALLS (7.5 km from the resort)

This impressive waterfall reaches 108 meters in height and over 1,700 meters in width, making it one of the world’s largest waterfalls. This is also one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World. While visiting the falls, you can enjoy the sights of the native plant and animal life that is supports.

Don’t miss the opportunity to visit this vibrant market to window shop or find souvenirs. This is one of the oldest markets in Zambia. At the stalls, you will find crafts and paintings allowing you to have a unique view into the local culture.

5. LIVINGSTONE MUSEUM (6.2 km from the resort)

If you would like to learn more about Livingstone, make time to visit the city’s main museum. As the largest museum in Zambia, this is an excellent place to learn about the local and national history and culture through artifacts that once belonged to explorer and doctor David Livingstone.
