All the 26 beautifully furnished sea and sun facing air-conditioned luxury apartments have large, north-facing balconies or terraces. Guests have a choice of stylishly furnished 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, 3-bedroom and 2-bedroom or 3-bedroom deluxe apartments with the top ones enjoying the panoramic sea views.

Romney Park also has a restaurant that only serves breakfast and light lunch but we requested a room service because we wanted to enjoy our food with a sea view. There is a serviced bar area, swimming pool, spacious pooldeck with lounge and sunbeds, and conference facilities. Easy access to some of Cape Town’s most popular activities and attractions make Romney Park’s location ideal for anyone looking for some quietness, a safe location, and fun activities within a close proximity.

TYPES OF APARTMENTS

OUR APARTMENT – DELUXE APARTMENT 601

Our two-night stay was spent in a spacious and beautifully furnished private 1-bedroom deluxe apartment on the upper level of the building, giving us the perfect panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, a partial view of Robben Island and Cape Town stadium, and 360-degree views of the area.

This apartment has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and can sleep one to three adults however, is considered a 1-bedroom apartment because the second bedroom is smaller and Romney Park does not allow children under the age of 12 years in this unit due to the many balconies and steep stairs around the apartment.

The unit consists of a well-equipped kitchen, spacious living and dining areas with a balcony, a private rooftop garden with table and chairs, sunbeds, and a jacuzzi.

There is underfloor heating in the bedrooms and a gas-heated fireplace in the lounge area which came in handy during our stay because Cape Town was very moody that week.

For your convenience, Romney Park Aparthotel has a full backup generator for secure electrical supply during potential downtime or load shedding as we know it here in South Africa, a water tank for limited supply during downtime and for irrigation, laundry facilities, Wi-Fi connectivity, DSTV (cable TV) with selected channels, and a professional in-house maintenance handyman during office hours.
