15 On Orange Hotel is now The Capital 15 On Orange. Western Cape-focused property group Spear Reit Limited clinched a deal with The Capital Hotels and Apartments Group which had seen its troubled 15 On Orange Hotel converted into hybrid accommodation. 15 On Orange, like many others globally, had struggled amid the pandemic as it could not operate during the hard lockdown from April to July 2020. This five-star hotel was relaunched and officially reopened on the 17^th of August 2021 under the new name and branding, The Capital 15 On Orange, and I had an opportunity to spend two nights in one of their Executive Suites that boasts spectacular views of Cape Town’s world-famous landmarks, Table Mountain and Lion’s Head.

The hotel is located conveniently next to the Planetarium and within a short distance from the city centre, Table Mountain, Lion’s Head, Signal Hill, The Company’s Garden, Castle of Good Hope, Iziko Slave Museum, District Six Museum, Bo-Kaap, V&A Waterfront, and Kloof Street, the popular culinary street full of trendy cafés, stunning restaurants, and cocktail bars.

The friendly staff will also make you feel at home the moment you enter the hotel until your check-out day. From the security personnel at the door, cleaners, maintenance staff, ground and reception staff, waiters and waitresses, to barmen, you can see that customer service training was not compromised.
